Year 4 ventured out to the Oriental Museum this week as part of their study of the ancient Egyptians.
The group held real Egyptian artefacts and like archaeologists, had to guess what they were once used for thousands of years ago...
The class has the exciting opportunity to see a real mummy, a female priestess, and learned all about the process of mummification before taking part in a dramatic re-enactment of the ceremony that would decide on what happened to you in the afterlife. The group acted out the parts of the pharaoh, the embalmers, and the gods.
Great work Year 4!
