Huge well done to our two judo masters, Aiden and Sophie who have once again impressed us with their incredible (and unusual) hobby after bringing home a gold and a silver medal in a recent competition.
Aiden achieved a gold medal to add to his growing collection of two bronze and one silver medal from the last few competitions. His favourite move is Ouchi Gari (warning: do not ask for a demonstration... Mr Vasey made that mistake). Aiden is on his ninth mon belt which is orange with three red tags.
Sophie is on her fifth mon belt which is a yellow belt with a black stripe. She achieved a silver medal at the recent rumble which goes nicely with last years Bronze medal. Her favourite part of Judo is when her new coach Billy teaches her an over the shoulder throw (sounds scary - maybe don't ask for a demonstration of that one either!).
They both attend Destination Judo at Meadowfield Sports Centre once a week - new members are welcome.
