Year 6 students recently spent an exciting, action-packed weekend at Dukeshouse Wood in Hexham. See photos here.
Students pushed themselves to their limits and took part in activities such as; quad biking, archery, abseiling, zip wires and building campfires using only cotton wool, a flint and steel.
It was a fantastic weekend enjoyed by all, heres what some of our students said:
- ‘I thought that Kingswood was amazing! I surprised myself so much and I pushed the boundaries of what I could accomplish’ Jack Gibson
- ‘I thought Dukeshouse Wood was really fun. We did loads of things that we hadn’t done before. It tested our fears and our team work. I would definitely go back again’ Molly Brown
- Kingswood is an amazing experience and all of the activities were sky high and full of enjoyment.’ Tai Walker
Miss Raine, Year 6 teacher said ‘I am extremely proud of all of the children. They all attempted every activity, even when they were afraid and apprehensive. This shows how brave and resilient they all are. It was a fun-filled weekend’.
