In Year 2 today we looked at keeping safe and managing risk.

We discussed whose job it is to keep us safe but acknowledged that we must take responsibility for our own safety and to help others when we can. We even role-played calling the emergency services!

We learned lots of important lessons including how and when to call 999, what happens when you call 999 and what information you need to give. We also talked about how important it is to listen to what the 999 call handler says and follow any instructions they give you.

"Our parents and school keep us safe, but we have to look after ourselves too. We have got to look after others" Nicco explained.

Alyssa added: "We have to remember to stay calm. I can take a depth breath if I was feeling worried."
