Playground PE session

This week Years 4 and 5 took part in an energetic PE session to help them prepare to be playground leaders, helping younger pupils in school during playtimes.

Working with a specialist PE coach, the children were reminding that exercise can make you feel fantastic whilst having lots of fun! The aim of the session was to teach Key Stage 2 children some new and exciting playground games that they could enjoy playing together at playtimes and lunchtimes and could run for some of the younger children in the future as playground leaders.

The children learned how to cooperate with each other to improve their techniques, how to praise and encourage each other and worked on building resilience to try and try again.

Millie said: “I enjoyed how we were team building and working together. My team was communicating really well – how a team should – we worked well together and we did it!”

Eleanor added: “We played a tricky game which was actually called 'Ultimate Chaos' which it was! It was lots of fun.”

Harry commented: “It was fun playing the games and we learned to improve our passing when we worked together as a team.”
