Our Year 2 pupils took an exciting trip to Newcastle Castle last week!
The class could not wait to explore the castle and all of its amazing features, starting with the grand halls and the thick stone walls. Our pupils learned about how castles were built to keep kings and queens safe and they were fascinated by the beautiful views from the top!
The group also got to act out a wonderful royal celebration with a royal feast, lively music, dancing and some pupils dressing up as lords and ladies. Our pupils used play-doh to prepare delicious foods such as shiny apples and tasty pies, which had to be 'tasted for poison' bby a brave food tester before being presented to the king and queen with great pride.
Our young historians had a fantastic time experiencing life in a castle and represented our school wonderfully with fantastic behaviour and excellent manners. Well done everyone!
