We are ending the term with some great news here at Browney Academy after a successful Ofsted inspection!
Previously rated as good with outstanding for three inspection areas, inspectors visited to check that standards were being upheld, and judging by the glowing report, they were more than satisfied that our school is providing an excellent education to our growing student population.
Their overall impression of our school was heartening recognising that “Browney Academy’s motto, ‘Small school, big heart’, is central to school life.” And that “Pupils love coming to school.”
Inspectors noted multiple strengths in particular the quality of teaching and learning for reception class commenting that children thrive in early years classes. They also observed excellent conduct around school stating that Browney is a calm place where pupils are well-behaved.
Speaking of the inspection, our Headteacher Mrs Harris, said:
“I am so proud of our school and that our recent Ofsted visit went so well. The report makes for excellent reading and shows that pupils love coming to school here. Ultimately that is what we want; children who are eagerly and happily engaged in their learning and whose school years are building a solid foundation for their futures. I’d like to thank staff for their dedication and to parents and the local community who continually support us in all our new ideas and ventures and everything we set out to achieve.
Our Chair of Governors, Dan Murray, added:
“I’d like to thank staff for their hard work and dedication which is evident every day and which Ofsted saw in spades. The school continues to go from strength to strength as evidenced by the increasing numbers of families who choose Browney and I hope this report provides the reassurance that standards here are exactly where they should be. Well done to everyone at Browney!”
