As part of Fairtrade fortnight, our pupils watched the film, Amie's Story, about a family of cocoa farmers whose lives have been improved by Fairtrade.

Amie is part of a Fairtrade co-operative in Sierra Leone and our children learned all about how being part of a co-operative makes a big difference to other farmers like Amie.

After watching the film, the group channelled their creativity and celebrated teamwork by making their own class team flags.

Joshua said: "Before Amie was part of a Fairtrade co-operative, farming was very hard for her family. They got very little money and sometimes their crops wouldn’t grow. Being part of a co-operative means they support each other and help each other out. Amie can look after her family now."

Ethan added: "When we make the choice to buy Fairtrade products, we can help so many people and make a difference."
