The children at Browney Academy have been working very hard in each class making poppies to commemorate Remembrance Day.
This morning everyone paid their respects to those who have fought for our country in the Great War by displaying the handmade poppies around the names of the boys of Browney who gave and offered their lives to protect us.
Our younger children in Reception learnt why we wear poppies before making poppy biscuits and tissue paper poppies. The children then painted their hands to make their own poppy leaf handprints. The class practised their pencil control as they coloured pictures of soldiers who fought for our country in war.
Lest we forget.
