Meet our 'worry monsters'

We would like to say a huge thank you to our friends at the charity, Knit for Nowt, who have kindly given our school six 'worry monsters'.

The knitted monsters will be used when working with our children to help resolve any worries they have. Sometimes just writing down a worry can be helpful in itself. So, when a worrying or troubling thought comes into a child's mind, they can write it down, or draw a picture and feed it to a worry monster.

Knit for Nowt is a charitable service based in Yorkshire which appeals to knitters for knitted, crocheted, or sewn hand puppets and "worry monsters". The knitted items are donated free of charge to be used in schools and therapy settings.

There is a huge need for these items and Knit for Nowt are always looking for knitters to lend a helping hand. Can you knit or sew? If you, or someone you know, would like to help out please find full details here or contact Knit for Nowt at [email protected]
