Virtual sports day!

As you may remember, the County Durham Schools Games were held virtually in July through the School Sport Partnership. Pupils across County Durham were invited to participate in a range of activities and submit their scores online. The competition included; keepy ups, balance, target practice, star jumps, throw and catch and photography.

The results are in and some of our children achieved medals! The results are as follows:

During this term, children from Years 1 to 6 have enjoyed even more virtual sports! Our pupils have taken part in four challenges; bowling, throwing and catching, batting and running as part on another inter-school competition. All personal best results were recorded and submitted and now it is time for the moment of truth.... the results!

Catching Challenge - Isaac, Year 2 - Silver

Bowling Challenge – Sienna, Year 2 -Silver

Battling Challenge – Will, Year 2 - Gold

Well done to all the children who took part - as a school, Browney Academy achieved 4th place in the competition!  We are looking forward to the next pentathlon challenges which include the standing long jump, speed bounce, chest push, shuttle run and the verticle jump.
