Year 2 had a great time exploring the local area before half term to round off their exciting topic Street Detectives.
The day started off with a visit from special guest and our very own caretaker, Mr Gibson, who came to talk about what Browney Academy was like 40 years ago. The children loved hearing his stories from when he was at Browney and they had so many questions for him to answer.
Year 2 then went on a walk around town and spotted lots of things along the way. First, they played house bingo and found many of the different types of houses they had been learning about. They used their detective skills to find all the different shops on John Street and then they stopped at St Johns Church and drew beautiful sketches of the church.
Finally, of course, our last stop before heading back to school was the local park!
