Our Year 5 pupils have been getting in the festive spirit by writing Christmas-themed acrostic poems.
Here are their poems inspired by celebrating in church and winter celebrations at home...
A Starry Christmas
Christ is here,
Hear the angels sing their song,
Ring the bells with cheer,
In the church, people belong,
Saviour's birth we celebrate,
Time to gather around with family,
Making memories that are great,
After church, we share presents happily,
So when it is all done, we thank the Lord for all the love and fun.
Christmas Celebrations
Christmas time is near,
Happily singing a Christmas song,
Rudolph is nearly here,
In the living room we dance all day long,
Snowball fights are the thing to do,
Time to skate along the ice,
Make a hot chocolate before you turn blue,
And making lots of friends that are nice,
Santa's coming soon, so tuck up in bed and let your Christmas dreams come true.
