Yesterday, pupils from Years 1 and 2 enjoyed an exciting trip to Tynemouth, to support the study of their new topic 'beachcombers'. Beachcombing involves 'combing' the beach to look for items of value or interest.
Pupils eagerly explored the Blue Reef Aquarium, getting up close with rockpool inhabitants including starfish and turtles! They then headed to the beach in the hope of finding some hidden treasure... Unfortunately no pirate treasure was found, however, pupils enjoyed creating 3D sand sculptures in the sun using the items that they had collected.
Well done Years 1 and 2!
