Our curious Reception class went 'mini beast' hunting this week during a visit to Broom House Farm in Durham.
After searching high and low for mini beasts; under moss, in the bark of trees, in the pond and under logs and stones, they found lots of worms, woodlice, caterpillars, beetles and spiders. They even found out that some mini beasts hibernate after finding a beetle hibernating in the bark of a tree.
It was a very muddy day, but we had lots of fun!
