As a school we have chosen to support County Durham Clothing Bank this Christmas to support families in our local area.
A collection tub has been placed in reception and items will be collected from school on the Friday 30 November. Please help us by providing second hand clothing and essential items for those who are experiencing financial difficulties.
Suggested items
- Homeless items: sleeping bags, warm clothes, socks, gloves, toiletries and hats.
- Other: clothes, nappies, toiletries, jars of baby food, baby powered milk, selection boxes, tubs of Christmas sweets etc for children.
Our lovely school council and rights respecting champions have worked together to spread the word by designing posters and hosting an assembly to explain the Christmas appeal to the whole school. They also reminded us of the Rights Respecting Article 27 - I have the right to have a proper house, food and clothing.
Thank you in advance for your support.
