This week, our Year 4 and 5 children went to the Oriental Museum in Durham to visit their fantastic Egyptology collection to mark the end of their Phenomenal Pharaohs topic.
The children became Egyptologists and examined real ancient Egyptian artifacts before completing an exciting gallery trail and taking part in a drama activity in which one of our pupils was mummified and sent to the afterlife.
A highlight of the day was the chance to see a real life mummy and find out all about her life 2000 years ago in ancient Egypt - truly fascinating.
And, no trip would be complete without a visit to the gift shop to buy novelties and keepsakes.
