It was Mother's Day on Sunday and the pupils at Browney Academy thought the best way to treat their mums was with a delicious afternoon tea.
The pupils helped to serve up heaps of scrumptious sandwiches and cakes, which were of course a big hit with the mums, and it was all washed down with big cups of tea.
As well as afternoon tea, the Year 6 class also planted beautiful violas for their mums, and decorated the pots themselves with ribbons and fabric. Each one came with a postcard from the heart and an acrostic poem made from their mother's name.
The afternoon went off without a hitch and all the mums had a fantastic time nibbling cakes and receiving their gifts.
Huge thanks to Mrs Hamilton and Mrs Leighton for setting up and organising the event - the hall looked fantastic!
