On Thursday 16 March, Key Stage 2 pupils received Flat Stan first aid training.

They were given the opportunity to practice CPR on Flat Stan dummies, which taught them the key signs to look for and how to respond to a casualty. The children acted very maturely whilst placing each other in the recovery position learning valuable life skills.

Pupils learned how to support someone with a nose bleed or a minor cut. They were taught how to react in an emergency covering what to do when someone is choking.

Year 4 pupil Anthony felt very accomplished after the course and said: “It is very important for us to learn how we can help our family or friends if they were in trouble.”

Well done!
