Our pupils have been having a lot of fun this morning flying a flag for the Commonwealth at Brandon Carrside Youth and Community Project.
Along with Browney Academy, three other local schools also attended the event, and together they are all working towards shared goals of democracy, development and respect for diversity.
During the event a speech was given by Chairperson of the Council, Susan Nelson, and the Commonwealth flag was raised high into the sky.
After the flag had been flown, Browney pupils returned to school, but not before tucking into a delicious bacon sandwich with their friends. We're not jealous at all!
