Our Year 2 and 3 class are now experts on Anglo Saxons after taking part in a number of activities related to the topic on Friday.

The Anglo Saxons were the people who inhabited Great Britain from around AD410 to 1066. Students looked at artefacts and a copy of the Lindisfarne Gospels, created a Celtic knot and most excitingly, dressed up as monks and found out what life as a monk would be like.

Mrs Ribchester said: "The day was a great opportunity to enhance our knowledge that we already had about Anglo Saxons. The pupils looked great dressed up as monks and even managed to parade up the corridor in complete silence."
