Animal visitors

On Monday, we welcomed some very extraordinary visitors into school to meet our brave Reception and Year 1 class.

Mr Bell, ex-Durham Wildlife Officer in the Police Force, came into school with some of his rescue animals including a; bearded dragon, python, large tortoise, gecko, tarantula and a royal python. Students got the opportunity to hold and touch some of the animals while the tortoise made himself at home and spent the afternoon roaming around the classroom.

The visit was a great opportunity to meet and handle animals we had not been close to before and a great way to challenge our fears. Take a look through the photos above.

The animals are coming back into school next week with the addition of a falcon or parrot to meet our other classes who are already super excited!
