We had some very excited children at Browney recently when Durham County Fire Brigade brought along their fire engine for a visit.
As part of an event to raise awareness of the work of the fire brigade and to promote fire safety, the children were allowed to explore the fire engine and wear the fire fighters' helmets. They were even allowed to have a go at using the hose and squirting water!
Everyone enjoyed the visit and learned lots.
Megan said: “I loved being the chief driving the engine. It was fab!”
Big thanks to Durham County Fire Brigade for such an interesting and informative day.
