We'd like to introduce you to 'go getter', Kaine from Swifts, who regularly goes above and beyond his school work using the local library at Brandon after school and completing extra homework without being asked to do so.

Kaine collects his additional work in scrap books and folders and brings it to show the rest of the class and recently brought every child in the class a bookmark from the library to encourage them to use the facilities too.

Kaine is setting a great example by taking ownership of his own learning and being a positive role model for his class mates and the rest of the school - he has also been thoughtful and kind towards others by bringing everyone a bookmark.

Kaine's teacher Mrs Fildes said: “I am very proud of Kaine. He has shown commitment to his learning and kindness towards his class mates. He is a star!”

Kaine said: "I really like going to the library and it is better to spend time there doing work, than being bored and wasting time.”

Classmate Tegan said: “It was very generous of Kaine to bring us all a bookmark from the library, now I won’t have trouble finding my place in my book!”
